Why we run labs before hormones
If a clinic offers to start you on hormones without first drawing labs, walk out. Hormone optimization without data is guessing — and guessing with hormones is how people end up over-treated, under-treated, or missing a problem that had nothing to do with hormones at all.
What we test
Your baseline panel is comprehensive because symptoms overlap. Depending on your picture it may include:
- Sex hormones — testosterone (total & free), estradiol, progesterone, DHEA
- Pituitary & thyroid markers
- Metabolic and lipid panels
- CBC and other safety labs
Why the baseline matters
Your numbers do three things: they confirm whether hormones are actually driving your symptoms, they set a precise starting dose, and they become the reference point we measure every future result against. Without them, any change is a shot in the dark.
How we monitor
Optimization is a moving target. We re-check at 6–8 weeks after starting, then settle into a quarterly-to-biannual rhythm. Doses titrate to both your labs and how you actually feel — numbers and symptoms together.
The Bespoke method
It's the same principle behind everything we do: measure first, treat second. Whether it's hormones, weight loss, or peptides, the plan is authored from your data — not a template.
We don't prescribe hormones and hope. We measure, treat, re-measure, and adjust.
